Kulpreet Yadav is the author of 18 books spanning military history, espionage, and crime. His latest, The Battle of Narnaul (Penguin Random House India, 2025), revisits a forgotten episode of India’s First War of Independence in 1857. He is known for acclaimed works such as The Battle of Rezang La and The Battle of Haji Pir (both Penguin Random House India), with Rezang La translated into Hindi by National Book Trust, India.

A former Commandant of the Indian Coast Guard who commanded three ships during over two decades of service, Kulpreet brings lived military experience to his writing. He is also an actor and screenwriter based between Delhi and Mumbai.
